Freefall

Thibault Liger-Belair

Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2012

This 2012 is a crazy spice-full nose-hit prepping you for a blueberry front mouth experience that lethargically lingers to the point of the drop:/freefall (hop and pop) , then escapes (lacks finish). That written, the front of this wine is so proper that I have to nudge it over a 9 on the numeric 1-10 scale. Then there's its alcohol friendly side @ only 13%, which gives one the courage to go ahead and snag another bottle to ponder, pen and propose to your pals to ponder and perhaps pen perfect - bottle after bottle - a berry pie without the extra sugar, working way well with my grill-tinged filet mignon and crispy green things😎 buy this wine and drink - enjoy! — 9 years ago

Bodegas y Viñedos Vega Sicilia

Pintia Toro Tempranillo 2010

Groovy spice and moss on the nose leads to a huge blueberry chocolate first blush front mouth sensation that performs a lava-like spread latching and lingering then oddly finishing with a clean freefall leaving one to ponder the front end remnants and, of course, take another swig! It's way big, so, pace proportionately. Also, it's a bit spun-up so decant and let it unravel itself, for the win/win of it all...

Viñedos del Contino (CVNE)

Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2008

An engaging spicy nose should pull you into a berry-delicious (blue, ras & straw) first blush that's tannic/acid creates a coating, clinging downstream flow that leisurely works the banks and turns then plunges into a clean freefall urging yet another swig... — 9 years ago
