A great wine from the Lewelling property. 2007. — 9 years ago
Juicy red fruit and bright acidity. Light and lively. Nicely done! — 3 years ago
Compared to a 2010 Hayfork Lewelling. The hayfork opened to a little bit of funk, but the soil distinguishment on this wine was quite nice. Within about 15 minutes, this wine developed a nice fruit component. Compared to the 10 Hayfork, this one was a little more brash although the fruit components were very similar. This was a VERY COOL comparison. The Wights, Lewelling Ranch, what a great pedigree. One of my favorite St. Helena regions. Awesome pull by Joe Leatherwood to compare to the 2010 Hayfork with a RATHER similar pedigree. — 7 years ago

Dense and ripe. Nice barrel tones - prominent but well integrated. Rich dark fruit finish. Showing well and still has plenty of time/life left. — 5 months ago
