Muradella Castrillón Red Blend 2012

This a unique field blend of heritage Galician varieties, mostly Mencia and even a bit of Godello.
Red berries, herbs predominate. Polished with an ample backbone. Terrific with food. Worth seeking out.

Matias Riccitelli

Viñedos de Montaña Cabernet Franc 2020

Delectable Wine
9.3

The 2020 Cabernet Franc Matías Riccitelli Viñedos de Montaña hails from the lower eastern border of Los Chacayes (3,500 fasl) in the Uco Valley and was fermented in concrete vats before aging for 16 months in French foudres. In the glass, it's garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose presents notes of ash, green bell pepper, blackcurrant and blackberry over a layer of oak. Dry and broad, the warm year has brought a velvety texture that contrasts with a chalky mouthfeel and rich palate. The 2020 ends with a long finish of dark fruit. Bodegas Del Rosario

Yummy yum yum. Big fruit on the nose, yet soft and sappy on the palate. Great length, medium tannin, and plenty of colour to complete the senses. Decanter best in show for less than a tenner? More, Lord. — 2 years ago

9.3

I drank some pretty expensive and exclusive wines last night and I came home and had a glass of this and I preferred it over everything else I had tasted that night. Fine, smooth and elegant #Garnacha — 4 years ago
