The 2020 Cabernet Franc Matías Riccitelli Viñedos de Montaña hails from the lower eastern border of Los Chacayes (3,500 fasl) in the Uco Valley and was fermented in concrete vats before aging for 16 months in French foudres. In the glass, it's garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose presents notes of ash, green bell pepper, blackcurrant and blackberry over a layer of oak. Dry and broad, the warm year has brought a velvety texture that contrasts with a chalky mouthfeel and rich palate. The 2020 ends with a long finish of dark fruit. Smaken är djup och elegant med fokus på mörk frukt som körsbär och vildhallon, florala inslag av violblom och en läcker rökig mineralitet. Eftersmaken är härligt ihållande.

Yummy yum yum. Big fruit on the nose, yet soft and sappy on the palate. Great length, medium tannin, and plenty of colour to complete the senses. Decanter best in show for less than a tenner? More, Lord. — 2 years ago
Developing a taste for Albarín, an indigenous variety from Leon, Asturias and Galicia, where it is also known as Branco Lexítimo. From 60+ years old vines on slate, limestone and clay soils in Cangas de Narcea (Asturias). Aged in used 500 liter French oak barrels for 6 months. Notes of citrus. Very fresh, zippy acidity — 3 years ago
