This night the wine that has been opened is the 2019 Domaine Paul Cherrier Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc from Verdigny, France just north of Sancerre in the Loire Valley.
The nose I am getting lime, green apple, pineapple, hibiscus and a good mineral limestone note.
On the palate there is lime, grapefruit, white peach, pear, a bit of saline, mineral notes and wet stone.

On this Thursday night heading into the weekend I have opened the 2018 Joseph Drouhin Côte de Beaune-Villages Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, cranberry, hibiscus, vanilla, baking spice and a hint of smokiness.
On the palate I find cherry, raspberry, cranberry, rose petals, vanilla, spice and an earthiness.

Tonight I found this 2012 Saint Roch Côte du Roussillon Vieilles Vignes Grenache Blanc-Marsanne. A blend od 80% Grenache Blanc and 20% Marsanne.
The nose has notes of pinapple, pear, honeydew melon, cream, mango and wet gravel.
On the palate I am getting white peach, pear, beeswax, saline, lemon curd and wet gravel.

I am starting the week off with the 2017 Grgich Hills Estate Fumé Blanc Dry Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose I am getting lime, pink grapefruit, nectarine, honeydew melon and minerality.

Hello everyone! It is Friday and we need to celebrate the weekend. So tonight I have started the celebration with the 2013 Yalumba The Signature Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz. The blend is 54% Cabernet Sauvignon and 46% Shiraz.
On the nose there is black cherry, black raspberry, black currant, mint, hints of meat, chocolate, spice and cedar.
Across my palate there are notes of black cherry, black raspberry, black plum, black currant, spice and graphite.

Last night's wine was the 2018 Domaine Sigalas Santorini Assyrtiko.
On the nose there is lemon, mango, beeswax, saline and wet stone. The mineral notes are very prominent.
On the palate I find lemon, lime, passionfruit, ginger, a good portion of saline, flint rock and there is that continued minerals.

Tonights wine I have opened is the 2012 Au Bon Climat Santa Barbara County Chardonnay.
On the nose I am finding notes of lemon, giava, apricots, pear, vanilla, and good minerality.
On the palate there is lemon, papaya, apricot, baked apple, coconut, butter and a good dose of minerals.

It is Tuesday night, the night after my first Covid-19 shot. I thought it would be nice to open a 2009 Muga Selección Especial Rioja Reserva. This is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo.
On the nose there a notes of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, licorice, savory notes, leather and earth.
On the palate I find notes of black cherry, black plum, tomato, black currant, spice, licorice, black pepper, a nice mineral note and earth.
This wine is full bodied with a fleshy velvety mouthfeel, medium+ acidity and medium + fine mouth coating tannins which moves into a long dark fruit savory earthy finish.
