Wowza, this was like an old school Napa Meritage relocated to ARG. Infinitely smooth, velvety w/gobs of layered fruit, distinct chocolate note & flavor, perfectly ripe, not a hair out of place. This is Paul Hobbs working in the southern hemisphere cranking out the good stuff — 5 days ago
really liked this, hadn't heard of this varietal - ended thinking it tasted like Pecorino. straw colored, lovely nose of citrus & white flowers, waxy, herbaceous, a wild element, even some tropical fruit as it warmed, med bodied, silky yet vibrant acidity, more mineral on palate but still w/fruit from nose... persistent finish. what a treat! bump for QPR — 8 days ago
BDX blend from South Africa: Old World style, not overextracted, nuanced nose of dark berried fruit, mocha, tobacco, pencil lead, dried herbs, pepper, cassis, all the hallmarks of the Left Bank. Really smooth & balanced through persistent finish. Fine pedigree — 5 days ago
Well done if a bit ordinary — Costco find, very inky, drank young, showing the dominant Merlot aromas & flavors of black fruit, licorice w/sole minerality - Just lacking finesse & polish but still absolutely delicious — 5 days ago
Gorgeous expression of Nebbiolo: deep ruby but not opaque, feminine nose of florals and red fruit, tar, white pepper, exotic spices, herbaceous w/lifted - hi toned notes, med bodied, caressing subtle tannins and impressively integrated acidity. Evolving, complex, cerebral, this was my fave out of lineup of 6 — 5 days ago
supposedly a Gold Medal wine: ski trip to CO wanted to drink local, love PV but this was disappointing... way hot, probably 15% and not wearing it well, grippy tannins and some black & red fruit, bit one dimensional, maybe some florals. smooth broad fleshy on palate, tannins really prevalent leading to the hot, slightly astringent finish. — 14 days ago

Inky wafting dark fruit, cocoa and vanilla. Decadent nose followed by a smooth silky palate with gobs of fruit, built for the international consumer and wine critics… my only complaint is no one would guess Cab Franc. No herbaceousness, no pepper, fruit was black & blue as opposed to red, no varietal typicity, but that is just my opinion. Still delicious — 2 days ago
