Solid effort here: deep dark garnet, opaque, wafting cherry & strawberries, florals, herbs, spices and plenty of earthiness - on the palate the fruit is a bit tart, like sour cherry and early season berries, some minerality but loads of sweet soil, leather, mild spice and relatively juicy acidity. this is textbook and well made, solid QPR. prefer this over over-priced chianti classicos — 17 days ago
solid: not showing any signs of age, it is inky & wafty boasting a lot of herbaceous notes, bell pepper, spices, and white pepper - very classic Loire profile, some wild red fruit notes and flavors on palate. Med + body w/well balanced acidity & tannic structure. The real deal — 9 days ago
better strap in for this wine (oh, and I've had Pais before): Funkmaster McFunky, I've had some crazy wines but this was way up there. Not endearing to my palate, something about the vegetal herbaceous rubbery nose just didn't do it for me - along with the jolty acidity... had to pour this one out. — 18 days ago
textbook Barolo - not a hair out of place, all the favorites and a screaming good deal #costcowines — 15 days ago

solid Toro: inky wafting black fruit & damp earth, some intriguing complexity - spice & cocoa, even some coffee & incense. Muscular yet not without some finesse, this took awhile to unwind and it has the stuffing & balance to lay down for a few years... — 2 days ago
