A well-crafted white Rhône blend - the high percentage of Picpoul (40%) works really nicely with the Grenache Blanc, keeping it taut and fresh while enhancing the melon-y flavors. The 2% of Viognier, while not announcing itself in any obvious way, certainly serves its purpose in brightening up the nose. There’s a hint of funk - which I like - mixed with mineral vibrancy to keep you on your toes. An awesome partner with my fish tacos and mango-cilantro slaw. — 5 years ago
I think this is my last bottle of Linne Calodo wine. Always such interesting, but enjoyable blends — 2 years ago
Lighter than expected. Slightly spicy — 5 years ago
Heavy fruit, but in a nice way. I typically don’t like Zinn’s (except Linne Calados blends), but this is very enjoyable. Nice wine — 4 years ago
Juicy, dark fruit, ripe plum, spicy — 5 years ago
A few fun 4th Friday wines from tonight.
My first experience with this zin from Carlisle. When compared to the Linne Calado it shared the tabled with, this was slightly sweeter compared to tart/underripe. 100% Zin. Notes of squeezed boysenberries, candied black cherries, fig, raspberry chocolates jump from the glass. On the palate...wow! So tart! Cran-raspberries, currant, red plum, red sweet-tarts and black cherry preserves coat the mouth in a fairly dense profile. — 5 years ago

Quite earthy of this stage. Charcuteries, ripe raspberries, liquorice, wet rocks. Lacks a bit of youthful energy. — 8 months ago
