Mariasole Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Lacrima 2009

Dramatic, opulent, rich. I'm already a fan of the Lacrima grape, an absolute jewel of Marche. Made from grapes dried for 120 days. Aromatic Christmas spices, dried dark roses, brandied cherries, ripe blackberries. Secondary notes of bittersweet root and bark, a touch of cacao. A great cold weather cozy sipper for fans of Amarone. Pair with blue cheese, bacon wrapped dates, or balsamic reduction anything. — 9 years ago

Awesome, man! I'd love to check out their other wines sometime, I see them around here and there.

Birbaccio Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico 2020

Very aromatic with citrus and delicate spring flower blossoms aromas. A round and fruity body with juicy pear/yellow apple favors and a finishing acid tingle that lingers. — 3 years ago

Lacrima di Morro d'Alba 2017

Jet black in color yet ethereally light on the palate. Tastes earthy with a distinct note of grape leaf (think Dolmathakia). — 6 years ago

Guardengo Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Lacrima 2017

Deep purple and an amazing floral nose. tv14%, higher in alcohol than I’ve seen with Lacrima, but u can’t taste it. This wine is so unusual- no other grape that I know of ( my brother will correct me?) has a nose and taste like this. Tannins are there but in check. Went great with pappadelle and pancetta/ tomato sauce. — 5 years ago
