2009 Wren Hop Shipwrecked Savior Chardonnay — 10 years ago
Great wine from a VERY fun winery. — 6 years ago
Imagine you have a really nice Camaro and all the hot chicks dig you. Right up until your older brother shows up driving a Ferrari. That's this beer. Decent full taste with soft but bitter finish. However, their Shipwrecked Double IPA simply crushes it. If you have a choice between the two, go with the Ferrari. — 9 years ago
First thing from Stone Brewing that I'm not crazy about. It's not bad but it's a great time to be alive because there are plenty of better double IPAs out there IMO. I like my doubles a bit malty-err like Shipwrecked or Double Daddy. Good but not great. — 9 years ago
This beer makes me want to take an UberX in the middle of a weekday to the nearest liquor store in San Francisco and toss one of these back standing in the aisle gnoshing on a triple size Tabasco Slim Jim while the store owner screams at me to pay for it. I love the combination of a fully hopped IPA with a darker ale backbone. Truly a double but not overwhelming. Yet again, another killer IPA from San Diego. Quite possibly my absolute al time favorite. — 9 years ago

This Napa (Calistoga) single-vineyard SauvBlanc has a nose that's dominated by fruit, primarily tropical and citrus. An apricot note shows early, but is overpowered by the ripeness of the California grapes. On the palate, there's no grassiness, but there is a slightly tart herbal aspect that shows up most notably on the finish. Acidity is bright and fresh, perfect for seafood and salads. It's boozy - 15.3% - but it doesn't come off that way. It's made by Stonum Vineyards, by the way. — 6 years ago
