Very nice 100% nerello mascalese etna Rosso from high altitude vineyards. Definitely needs a multi hour decant at this juncture; would also be good to revisit in a couple years. But this is very enjoyable now with a decant with great bramble dark red fruit, medium plus tannins, just the right bit of refreshing acid. Nice and definitely one for food. — 5 years ago

A good "fruity and light white wine " as the bottle says. Good with pasta & pesto and capresi salad. — 9 years ago
This is a Rosso Conero (now just Conero) that does not try to be something it’s not. Most Conero producers seem to want to have their wines be 2000s-styled “international wines,” replete with overextraction and lots of French oak. But this is perfectly within itself. Conero is supposed to be like this is: smoky, earthy, dark berries, tannins present but well-managed, good acids, please get me a bowl of pasta in a red meat sauce. Which I’m eating tonight. Thanks to my brother for giving this to me. — 3 years ago
Not too dry. Good with food. Tomato basil salad or maybe dry aged cheese — 6 years ago
