A weighty white wine for cold winter nights. A little of that classic plastic, rubber, petrol on the nose. Beautiful transition on the palate of pear, peaches up front, lemon and lime zest on the mid palate with medium acidity, minerally finish. Paired nicely with a spicy cumin chick pea and spinach dish along with shoshito peppers with lime zest and created with beautiful balancing act on your palate. — 6 years ago
Yup there’s that green bell pepper. Big tannins. I mean...I don’t hate it, but it’s not knocking my socks off. A lot more vegetable quality on this so people use to California style Cabernet probably will not enjoy this. — 6 years ago
Well...my sniffers shot 🤧
Body is lighter side of medium with very little tannin structure.
Alcohol is medium +
Acid is medium.
In all defense, this was Coravin’d probably 3 months ago. Testing to see how it held up, but on account that my sinuses are failing me tonight we’ll have to come back to this at another point. I can remember this have great minerally notes with a nice dark fruit and black pepper core. — 5 years ago
Zweigelt & Blau blend. Medium light body, medium acidity, bouquet of dried flowers and potpourri, dusty unripened raspberry. On its own, delicious but will be better with something fatty. I can see Montepulciano drinkers enjoying this as well. — 6 years ago
Very herbaceous with some fennel notes. This was a 1997 vintage and it held up great. Stewed meats. Beef barley stew wrapped up with a bouquet of dried herbs. — 6 years ago
I’m lovin’ the barnyard stank on the nose. Medium plus acidity, moderate tannins, black pepper, long dry finish. Diggin it. Nice change up from Chianti etc. — 6 years ago
Fresh baked, brown sugar cookies, dark berry fruit. — 6 years ago
Like a freshly opened pack of Fruit Stripe gum. If you like your Sauv Blanc fruity then this is your jam. — 6 years ago
Coffee beans waiting to be tossed into a grinder. Light and elegant. Easy drinking on its own. — 6 years ago

If I could rate this a zero, life would be grand. Further proof that Wagner makes shit wine. Stop kidding yourself that you actually enjoy this overpriced POS just because the brand also makes Quilt, Bonanaza and Meiomi. It’s overpriced Andre with a bigger marketing budget. — 3 years ago
