Is Solus Carignano del Sulcis Carignane

Well...my sniffers shot 🤧
Body is lighter side of medium with very little tannin structure.
Alcohol is medium +
Acid is medium.
In all defense, this was Coravin’d probably 3 months ago. Testing to see how it held up, but on account that my sinuses are failing me tonight we’ll have to come back to this at another point. I can remember this have great minerally notes with a nice dark fruit and black pepper core.

Vintage 2015 Pleasant, but high alcohol is a bit disturbing to me #sardinia #carignano

Surprisingly light

Very perfumed nose and an intense ruby color, and it did round-out once it opened up and was with food. However, the lack of balance persisted, with not enough body/tannin to support the alcohol.

Ripe grapes from Sardinian sunshine, mineral and chalky notes. Compliments Italian meat/pasta dishes.

Light & neutral flavors… honestly too dry to be paired with pizza (my fault) but still enjoyable.

I'm a big fan of these Sardinian wines, this one paired nicely with a dish of pasta Arrabiatta. The spiciness of both the sauce and wine blended nicely. I'd definitely order this again
