Delicious, obscure #monica from #sardinia. Expect to keep this one in the wine fridge for a day from uncorking before the wine truly expresses itself. After that there’s a lovely wild cherry, violet, faint pepper and distant black cardamom smokiness in the heady nose. Juicy acidity, soft tannins on the palate make this nicely food friendly wine. Vintage 2015 / Do you know that feeling? After a hard days work you come home and put a red wine in the glass. In this case #cannonau (= grenache), you smell cherries and taste a spicy and comforting wine. Nothing special... but still, I am very happy with it.
