Medium garnet with a medium wide garnet rim . Quite thick tears . A little high toned with an earthy tobacco , old wood , sous bois , spiced cherry , ripe blackberry note . On the palate this is quite rounded and juicy with sweet tannins spiced red plum , dark cherry and cassis . Ok balanced acidity , slightly warming alcohol . Medium spiced red plum and cherry finish . With more time in the glass this starts to become a little disjointed, I would recommend drinking this at a more or less cellar temperature, which wasn’t the case here . Ready now , still on its plateau of maturity but best from now and over the next 5 or so years . — 2 months ago
Decanted for 7h.
Nice aromatics of spices & leather. As expected, fruitless. Brilliant purity here with freshness & precision
Pure, austere & linear on the palate. With a firm tannic frame and brilliant, juicy acidity. Love the precision and the (firm) frame.
The complete opposite of plum & plush Languedoc or Rhone, but so nice.
Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love Bandol! — 13 days ago
A lovely blend from Priorat of around 50/50 Garnacha and Carinena, sometimes with a little Merlot included in some years. A red and black fruited palate with ripe blackcurrant. Opulent. I have a previous Delectable note for this wine - 77? Weeks ago. Reinforces my love of Priorat and Garnacha in particular. From the producer’s oldest vines - approximately 110 years. The 14.5% Alcohol does not show at all. — 3 months ago
Crushable patio popper that’s a crowd pleaser - easy to drink, not challenging — 3 months ago

Crunchy red berries and blueberry, rosemary and other herbed de Provence aromas as well, lively acidity, lovely balance, doesnt show heat (even though it’s 14.5% ABV), long, lingering finish, beautiful old vine (70+ years) Carignan from a vineyard at 2,400 feet elevation in Mendocino County!! — 14 days ago
