1998. Palmer-like nose--so expansive. Only missing the meaty bass notes. Orangey with zing. What Syrah should be!

This was from the time when the French were saying California wines wouldn’t age. The label says it should have “a long life approaching 20 years”. It’s delicious at 40. Laurel Glen and Steiner vineyard grapes. — 5 years ago
