Light, glistening yellow. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh citrus and orchard fruits, dusty minerals and white flowers, and a hint of chamomile emerges with air. Sappy, penetrating and energetic on the palate, offering Meyer lemon, pear, candied ginger and toasted brioche flavors that slowly deepen and spread out on the back half. Translucent gold. Powerful, smoke-tinged orchard and pit fruit aromas, along with a suave floral overtone and a hint of honey. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering pliant nectarine, orange and poached pear flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Silky in texture and well-concentrated, offering palate-staining citrus and orchard fruit flavors complemented by brioche, oyster shell and toasty lees nuances. The floral note repeats emphatically on the extremely long, supple finish, which is energized by a jolt of smoky minerality. Aged for 15 months in 55% new French oak.
