Celebrating the inauguration tonight including the first female Vice President of Black & Indian origin with this Méthode Champenoise sparkling wine from #nashik in Maharashtra state of India. Aromas as it warms in the glass feature delicate wafts of white flowers, jasmine and a touch of tropical fruit. It pours in the glass a pale copper color and shows fine bubbles. Palate is quite dry character, leaning towards Extra Brut, good tartness, green apple and a touch of bitter almond towards the finish. Not super complex but very good QPR for ~$15 at Costco. Paired well with Chicken Tikka Masala takeout from our favorite local Indian restaurant. — 4 years ago
