Delightful #riojagranreserva with almost a decade of bottle age. Dusty black fruit, cured meat, leather aromas. Palate entry brings hearty acidity, muted black/purple fruit and lots of American oak spice on the long finish. A little light on acidity but otherwise well balanced. — 7 months ago
Pleasant #riojagranreserva at fairly enticing price given its 13 years of bottle age. Muted dark fruit aromas, leather, bright acidity and still moderate tannins, likely drinking at its peak but not much intricacy here. — 8 months ago
Gracefully aged #riojagranreserva. Elegant understated aromas of dusty purple fruit, damson plum, white pepper, medium plus body on palate, robust tension, oak is nicely integrated, longish finish. Great with grilled meat but throughly enjoyable on its own. — 10 months ago

Compared to our previous bottle, this second of 3 bottles is drinking really nicely. I’m thinking it’s probably near peak at 13 years. Second day after opening (wine fridge with a vacuum cork stopper) its lovely, fragrant dark cherry, lithe bramble fruit nose, reminds me of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir aromatically. Delicious tartness on palate, not a ton of weight as this is a lower-extract style and tannins have been fully tamed on the finish.#riojagranreserva — 17 hours ago
