Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

I'm really liking this Adaptation by Odette (Plumpjack's newish winery). A 2012 that is totally approachable right now. You don't often call a Napa Cab "elegant", but that's precisely what this wine is - no doubt thanks to 22% Beckstoffer Oak Knoll Merlot. It's admittedly not a long finish, but that's not what this wine is trying to do. This is a crowd pleaser

Ok it is Napa cab -a little age - a long decant and well this wine can hold its own

I bought as a recommendation and was skeptical and I am pleasantly surprised - medium bodied but bold smooth and slightly aromatic but just the right palette and finish

So I can sing the song from the great philosopher band the Eagles and say take it easy - on a Friday night - and we are smiling!!!

A serious quaffer if that makes any sense

Nice structure, good tannin, dark cherry fruit and hints of herbaceous character. Smooth and silky mouth-feel, well-balanced and a great finish.
Not an aggressive, big Nap Cab.

Deep and rich. Lots of baking spice and dark fruit on the nose. Silky tannin. Balanced acidity.

Mad ripe black raspberries, blueberries, backing spices, brambly, round ,fleshy. This is a wine that might be hard to cellar but worth holding.

Plumpjack/Cade/Odette tasting. Not a bad way to start off April.
