Decided to open the most aged bottle in the house this weekend, and it was remarkable. The old Napa at its finest, bold yet light footed, still fresh, balanced with well integrated tannins and noticeable acidity. This wine complemented a grass fed ribeye steak with potato gratin exceptionally well.
Winemaker’s Comment: 100% York Creek Vnyd. Cab. Sauv. Complex, spicy, varietal bouquet with hints of currants. Fine balance and finish, unfined and unfiltered. Bottled July 1982 [sic].
