It was a little tight, and young, but after proper decanting time, it was fantastic. "Lean mean machine" is its knick name. Green pepper, fresh flowers, and black plum skins on the nose, and a lush, firm tannin pallet of ripe black cherries, blackberry, rosemary, black peppercorn, and a spiced finish that was very lingering. This is one I'd age for several more years, however I opened it now to understand why Advocate gave this a 94 point rating. I fully agree that this is going to be a spectacular year aside some of the 2009 beauties, and I cannot wait to open one of these in 5-10 years to catch up. Went harmoniously with slow roasted leg of lamb and roasted veggies!
