2003 vintage. Full concentration and developing. Earthy, manure, spice, chocolate, sweet spice and stewed plums and raisins. On the palette, hot and round - very ripe. Dried fruit profile. Leather tan. This is a big wine. Needs a lot of air. Tannins are medium plus and chewy. Medium finish. Not really my thing - alcohol slightly unbalances the wine for me. I ate with lamb which wasn't a bad choice. But can't imagine eating this with many dishes as the wine would overwhelm the food.
