Palazzo della Torre Veronese Corvina Blend

One of the wines that has made Allegrini famous, vineyard surrounds Villa della Torre. A blend of 40% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella & 5% Sangiovese, deep Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruit and black pepper spice. On the palate flavors of dried blackberry and black cherry with cinnamon, figs and licorice notes, good balance, lively acid with fine chewy tannins. Medium finish ending with fruit, mineral and earthy spice. Nice value.

Licorice, slight tobacco, cherry and some modest dark berry.

Medium body, easy to drink, fruit forward but not too sweet, slightly earthy and just the right tannins at the end.

Ripe black fruit, herbal and earthy aromatics meet vivacious acidity on the palate. Not too grippy, but still needs food.

Not my favorite. Just ok.

A wine that makes you happy. Easy, balanced, fruity.

Absolutely delicious, I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I expected more from this wine and remained a bit dissapointed, I missed the fruity and ‘sweet’ character for which it is praised
