I am still searching for a Malbec that delivers the Wow! Many newbie sommeliers are blah, blah, blogging about Malbec and it great Bold flavour. I''m still not on the band wagon for this grape. This was a disappointment . The nose was rose petals and as it opened turned too tar. Flavours in mouth; Salty throughout on thirds; front, dark fruits but not one distinctive flavour over the other , middle diesel fuel and back, just drop off to burnt american oak - like charcoal not in a good way. Accompanied grilled beef shoulder petite tender, fresh butter cream corn on the con and salad of organic spring mix. Salad included local fresh peaches , goat cheese, walnuts and drizzled with home made shallot vinaigrette .
