This was a nice and youthful, vibrant, powerful wine. This wine is perfectly down the middle and, if price were no object, might even be a "daily drinker." This wine has a powerful blackberry nose. Rich blackberry cassis with a hint of sweet on the front. Darker coffee notes in the middle. I was getting lots of blackberry still on the finish, but was also getting an almond kind of note as well. In a field of excellent wines, this one was definitely showing the robust nature of Napa valley and seemed to be the true expression. This wine has great structure to last 1-2 decades.
