The Philosopher Napa Valley Red Blend
California, USA

This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel. Elegant and velvety. Rich and extracted.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, tobacco, chocolates, coffee and peppercorn.
Fruit forward with a great mouthfeel, and fine grained tannins on the long finish.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 4 hours in a decanter, when it opens up and shows the tannins.
Good by itself as a sipping wine and good with food as well. I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
Tasty, spicy and delicious.
A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
