It's really good to see the tannins in the '08s softening up. This bottle was full bodied but had substantial finesse and balance. Loads of blackberries and dark chocolate. Paired perfectly with prime NY, grilled lobster tail and mushrooms. Happy July from San Diego 🇺🇸😎

Nice bottle but disappointing relative to the price and parker rating (98...?). Lots of red fruit (raspberries), very American style. Maybe a bit of tobacco. Not a while lot else going on. The 15.3% alcohol shows. Finish is kind of medium. I'm being tough here but I had high expectations.
