Eisele Vineyard Syrah
Supple fruit that’s evolved. Cherry and a hint of spice. Sweet and tangy. Very good.

Oct 7th, 2024Came out swinging hard, almost profound, but fell apart somewhat quickly...unlikely meant to have cellared so long. I’d love to taste younger versions of this - there were hints of real greatness.

Sep 30th, 2018P&P with a short decant. Very fine tannins with most of the sediment stuck to the side of the bottle. Blind I would have thought it was a great Côte-Rôtie! Brown edges but otherwise color of something 15 years younger. Forest floor, savory and VG+finish. Been in my cellar since release 😛
Savory

Nice smooth inky black fruit. A little thin throughout. Decent cork and a nice sediment line down the bottle so it appears to have been stored correctly. Maybe just too old? 😢

Feb 6th, 2018Medium weight good spice firm tannins lively red fruit dusty characteristics good spice the alcohol is starting to stand up on its own but only after an hour of being open yet another 98 that makes most of the critics look like fools
