This was a recommendation by The Somm on staff. Delicious with the red meat I enjoyed this evening. Definitely saw the age on the visual. Light rimming and earth notes on the nose. A bit of spice without being both. Definitely a food wine. Recommended!

Picked up this 2008 beauty from Joe Davis in Lompoc over the winter break. He makes amazing Old World Syrah and Pinot Noir that I just adore. Drinking perfectly now, tannins almost fully resolved, leather, dark berries, just the right amount of funk :)
