I could care less about anything in Wine Spectator, but it was still well deserved to see these guys on the front cover of the new issue. This is loaded with red fruit and that persistent tar note that I can’t get enough of.

Sep 17th, 2018Wanted open another one of these to compare to the Sonoma Coast pinot again. Very similar profiles, but where the beauty of the Sonoma Coast was how weightless yet fruit packed it is this Russian River adds a bit more texture and brings the fruit profile forward. Loaded with red fruit and a tar note that I found enticing.
