I’d been itching to open one of these for a while and I decided to sacrifice one to experiment! I’ve previously had only the ‘14 vintage a year or two ago and remember it being lights out...this was no different. Big and explosive SB. Aromatics are so perfumed and abundant...kiwi, grapefruit, chalky limestone. Big texture with acidity to age. White flower and tropical fruit peel on the palate. Kudos to Arkenstone for crafting a SauvBlanc on Howell Mtn, which is prime Cab land!

Just as good as the past three vintages. Edit- Just needed a bit of time in the glass. It’s smoking now. Easily a 94 point SB!

Grapefruit dominated nose but with peaches and kiwi fruit on the finish. This is a hefty SB. But honestly I think this is probably at the top for the next 1-2 years. Glad I have 1 more of these but I would recommend that you consume now! At the top!

Jul 6th, 2019Had this in Manteca, courtesy of Stepums. Notes of pear on the nose. A little barn-y at the end. Made me think it was maybe a gewurtz or some weird Italian white. But it's a sauv blanc!

Great balance of oak that complements the freshness of the varietal. Very refreshing with aromas and flavors of lemon, pineapple, and green apple. Loved this wine.

So I saw all the positive reviews on this wine and I had to acquire and taste ASAP. All I can say is WOW. This is up there with my previous favorite SB, Bevan. Honestly it's a tad better. I have to hurry up and fill my glass or my wife will finish the whole bottle 😱👍🏻
