Second vintage of this Umbria Merlot where Michel Rolland was involved. Still very tight with a serious tannic backbone. But… I think that this will become a beauty after some additional cellaring. If I would have tasted it blind I would have said Bordeaux. Very classic. You could ask yourself what the added value is when making an Umbria merlot which tastes as a Bordeaux one? But this is nothing more than a personal opinion
