Burgundy night. Started off with a nice champagne followed by a Cali roussanne to calibrate the palates.
This ended up being the group’s consensus for red wine of the night (though it was my 2nd favorite red). Raspberry pie, rhubarb and kirsch on the nose. Lots of red and black fruits on the palate alongside clove.

A bit effervescent to start, but the bubbles blew off and the wine opened up nicely.

Smooth as a baby's bottom. Well, as far as burgundies go. Very nice!
