This perennial favorite is a bit disappointing after some stellar prior vintages. It is a bit too thick of body, a touch too unbalanced in its acidity, a smidgen overmuch residual sugar. This aside, it is still a bargain at its price point. Expect a jammy mix of ripe plum and bright red currant.

2015v. Getting my Friday cab fix. The back label gets it right: rich blackberry, red cherry, mocha/baking spices. Lots of silky tannins. Easy drinking, only $12.99 with a mfg's coupon around the neck, and available at the grocery store! Good QPR. 14% ABV.
