Same as rating last year. Expressive nose. Velvety texture. Burgundian style. Enjoyed with Precious Mountain Williams Selyem - we enjoyed both equally. This one may have had a bit more depth and character.

Nov 11th, 2020Hello there wonderful Pinot. Crimson red color. Cherries, raspberries, and baking spices meld together naturally. Extremely long complex finish follows. Wonderfully acidic and well balanced. Exceptional.

I was looking for an off the beaten path #pinotnoir from a quality boutique producer and I found just that. 2013 Lucie Pinot Noir from @bacigalupivnds made by one of my favorite producers Kirk Venge (shout out to @vengevineyards ). Delicate cherries and red fruits with notes of earth followed by oak and spice with a creamy velvety finish. 17 months in barrel, sadly only 135 cases produced.
