Drank 6/13/19. Tasting event. Tasting pour.

Black fruit, earth, tobacco, and tar. Smooth, well balanced BlackBerry and cassis. Black fruit and medium + tannins(after a 3 hour decant) on the finish. WOTN for me.

4/22/9/5/4 + 50 = 94 pts

Ok ok ok, so any good trial lawyer knows that when the judge starts by making positive remarks for your case before a big ruling, it’s usually not good. You want a judge to end with the positive remarks. Things like with “ all due respect”, usually come in the middle and end up not boding well for your position. So here it goes. ....This is probably one of the finest wines I have ever had. It’s silky texture wraps around your pallet and envelopes your tongue, reminding you of the heavy price tag. $150 for one bottle or four glasses to be exact! Even the bottle is heavier than usual. From the nose to the finish, for every day folks like us , this is an experience. Enriching to say the least!
But, “with all due respect“, every wine rated on here is on a scale that considers value. And at $150 this B@#%..... bottle, is simply not worth the money. Nevertheless, I find it worthy of one of our highest scores ever because it is simply impeccable!! Thank you Ted for the great gift 🎁!!

Had this Stags Leap District Cab with meat pizza the other night. Deep, black, jammy black fruits. Very rich on palate with supple tannins. Layers of cocoa powder, vanilla, oaky finish with ripe dark berries touch.
