Perfect drinking foil to an overly humid, rainy summer night on the Hudson. A hefty Manzanilla, in its creaminess, but such strong salinity & enough cut that it stays light on the palate. Probably the fourth or fifth tasting. Such a strong food Manzanilla (I guess they all are but the En Ramas particularly) could go with so many food combinations. Turn on your love light, sherry version. Fantastic, layered stuff.

Spring bottling of Barbadillo’s unfiltered (en Rama) Manzanilla. 100% Palomino, aged for about 9 years under flor (plus 3 in bottle when I drank it). Intense, complex nose with aromas of yeast, sea breeze, hints of spices. Saline, very tasty. Quite long finish with lingering hazelnuts notes

Now that’s brine, depth, and fruit. Incredibly refreshing, broad and saline.
A picture postcard of a Manzanilla.
