Fun night celebrating a dear friend’s birthday at Lucio’s BYOB over dinner. Everyone brought their own bottles to share with the group that was gathered.
.
Such a special treat: Back-to-back birth year Moutons. These were incredibly well-preserved and so full of life and vitality. Balanced and harmonious, the notes were lush and clearly defined: clove, mint, eucalyptus, leather, ash, with delicate dark fruits giving a sense of life and youthfulness. This was ethereal.

Surprisingly light for a pauillac. It went well with my lobster and Richard’s steak poive. Very enjoyable for a 29 year old wine.
