Wirz Vineyard Riesling

This is a wonderfully complex and layered Riesling with effervescent acidity, florals, white fruit and minerality. Lemon peel, pear, slate, and honeysuckle are on the nose and palate, each with its own distinct but harmonized role. If only there was more to be had!

Beautiful ripe notes of peach, apricot, pineapple. Dry, but not excruciating so... some nice ripe fruit sweetness that works with food. Turkish kabobs and rice pilaf with chicken, lamb, beef, and chicken. Long, juicy finish. I find most rieslings too sweet, but this was really balanced and 13.5 ABV.

Continuing the first pass through the recently arrived shipment of 6 different Bedrock 2019s, this is an excellent, bone dry Riesling with nice citrus, and mineral flavors backed with tart green apple acids that create a bracing, almost effervescent finish. Nothing flabby here, other than this writer.
