This year’s Wirz Riesling, just released (10/21) is a very drinkable and pleasant wine but lacks the depth and complexity of prior vintages. Pale yellow, not much nose, pear, lychee, and lemon confit. But little in the way of acidity or minerality. Sip it by the pool or with your next sushi order.
