Blueprint Blaufränkisch

Cracked black pepper, blueberries, mulberries, and smoked meats on the nose and palate. This has got some intriguing old-world super funk on the bouquet. I see a lot of potential for Lemberger/Blaufrankish in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. Needs some time to open; starts tight in its approach. Tannin structure is designed for consumption with food. However, I'm finding this struggles to connect in the mid palate attack. Spent my birthday with some awesome people tasting wine... who can ask for anything more!
