Remember when Merlot was cool? Me neither. Opening up this rando bottle on a Wednesday, came courtesy of the original Doc Lock in a grab bag. It's sugar-water-red all the way. Low acidity and some gravel/chalk.

At first sip it was extremely light, almost watered down. When I had it with food it changed completely just as you would expect from an old world wine. With food it was excellent, without too light for my taste.

Not as earthy as most Merlots. Low tannins. Almost sweet. Light blackberries.
