Medium garnet , quite wide garnet rim . Quite floral at first with violet and iris, then touches of sweet red fruits , fresh herbal touches as well. On the palate more sweet red fruits, red plum , black cherry , with those fresh cut herbal and floral touches, violet in particular. Quite distinctive earthy notes also . Good refreshing acidity and slightly gritty tannins that are drier than expected with touch of bitterness , which distracts slightly from the harmony in the rest of the wine. This is probably in the middle of its drinking window and will hold over the next 6-9 years .
