Medium deep slightly hazy garnet , quite thin terracotta rim . This is quite restrained and closed on the nose , with a herbal , light ‘swimming pool’ nose , darkly spiced , earthy dried cherry . On the palate this is smaller framed than expected, with notes of currants , rose, dark cherry . Slightly drying tannins , quite fresh acidity , slightly herbal finish of ok length . I would drink this sooner rather than later on this showing as there is not a lot of fruit left on this , quite somber and aloof in style . From now and over the next few years . This was a little perplexing here and quite probably there will be better bottles of this out there . — 5 days ago

Medium lemon yellow . Slightly smoky , citrus tinged nose with some touches of yellow fruits, orange rind , peachy floral hints , honeysuckle. On the palate this is quite rounded with citrus tinged peachy fruit , good intensity , touch of toasty oak on the finish , just a hint of chalk dust . Good balance with fresh acidity. Quite good length , showing well now and I would imagine over the next 5 years . This is much fresher and youthful than the last slightly premox bottle we had late last year. Light medium ruby , with a wide ruby , pink rim . Quite sweetly fruited nose with rose , spiced red cherry , ripe raspberry , strawberry , and a hint chalk dust . On the palate this is quite fresh and vital still, focused on the light , ripe red fruits on the palate , touch of crunchy redcurrant , raspberry , strawberry. Fresh acidity and slightly chalky tannins . Medium minus chalky , red currant , raspberry tinged finish . This is still pretty young and fresh, slightly angular though and may well show even better in a couple of years and will last well a further 5–8. For a basic Pommard this is quite well made and enjoyable . — 11 days ago

Medium Amber gold with quite wide rim . Crystallised peel , saffron , not overly aromatic , quite restrained and with spiced citrus too. On the palate this is lighter and less sweet than you would imagine from the nose but with good balanced acidity , notes of caramel , spiced citrus peel , touch of oak , quite simple and one dimensional, slightly short finish. This doesn’t have the density or sweetness to go much further , so I would drink this now and over the next few years . Commendable for a 2002 however but quite a lightweight Suduiraut. — 5 days ago

Medium ruby garnet , quite thin garnet rim , quite youthful in appearance. Quite exuberant and open from the off blackcurrant , cedar , tobacco , touch of earthy sous bois and grafite, still really quite alive . On the palate this is quite fine boned and elegant , cassis , cedar , blackberry and grafite notes . Refreshing acidity and resolved tannin , with quite reasonable length and good saline balance . Really quite classic , and though not a big , or intense wine , it is well balanced and at peak . Now and over the next 5 - 10 years. Surprises positively for a 1994. — 5 days ago

Quite light ruby , garnet With a wide garnet rim . This is quite earthy, with some dried mushroom , red currant , light raspberry , sous bois notes . On the palate this is also quite small boned , with fine tannins , quite high acidity . Light red currant , raspberry and herbal hints , slightly earthy metallic note as well . Ok , slightly short herbal tinged red currant finish . Just misses a bit more mid palate , a little stuffing . Ready , should be drunk over the next few years, wouldn’t leave this too much longer . — 10 days ago

Quite light garnet , wide garnet terracotta rim . Quite high toned , sweet strawberry , rose tea , red guava , quite light and airy . On the palate this is quite light and aromatic , red fruited , strawberry , raspberry , light elegant rounded tannins , balanced acidity and ok length . Quite simple and light, showing some of the ripeness expected from 2018 and little density. I would imagine that this is best drunk over the next 5-8 years I can’t really see this improving much . — 5 days ago

Deep ruby , garnet , with thin garnet rim . Quite deep and ripe cassis , violet , blackberry , meaty grafite , sea spray , rich but well balanced . Quite well defined on the palate , blackberry , cassis , grafite . Balanced quite fresh acidity , fine but noticable tannins . Quite good grafite , saline tinged finish . Quite classic in style , with freshness from the cool fruit character and mineral focus , but polished with enough stuffing to age further , and probably improve over the next 5 -10 years and last well a further 10 . — 5 days ago

Medium ruby , wide quite light garnet ruby rim . This has quite closed at first , with ripe raspberry , spiced red cherry , strawberry, touch of spice also. On the palate this is quite fresh and vivid, raspberry , red currant , wild strawberry , touch of spice. Quite high acidity and lightly grippy tannins . Light red fruited finish , of pretty good medium length . Still pretty young , and quite well defined and detailed, vivid, even though there is a bit more oak spice noticable than the Pommard tasted yesterday. With time this is drinking well now but will last well a further 5-10 . — 10 days ago
