Dark garnet color with an orange rim. Red and blue fruit on the nose with hints of leather, tobacco and dill. Ripe cherry, blackberry and raspberry fill the palate with touches of balsamic vinegar, orange zest, coffee and black pepper. Medium-plus finish and body with bright acidity. Soft tannins, nice complexity and pretty well rounded.

1st wine of my birthday annual home-organized blind tasting (organized by my wife and daughter). I called it tempranillo from spain while smelling it with my eyes blinded but changed my mind and called it a Beaujolais when the blind was removed...
Very nice nose made of oak, some raspberry and currant notes, some meaty touches too along with a minty thing. The palate is very well made with a strong acid drive, making this wine very quaffable. Some raspberry notes all along, some drying tannins in the rear, a bit of oak and fruit in the rear, playing amongst these gentle tannins and giving way to a nice umami note in the very end. It was served along Japanese veggie gyoza with soy sauce. Great pairing!
