El Nido Jumilla Cabernet Sauvignon Monastrell

2007 Bodegas EL NIDO from Jumilla Spain. One of the best Monastrell blends from the Gil Family Estates. This is what they call a "Come up"! Is that your Grandma's coat?

There is certainly more complexity to this than the Clio but that's why it's twice the price I suppose. Delicious wine none the less

Favorite Wine in Spain "El Nido" From Jumilla, Spain

Big huge wine, but still came across with balance and grace. The alcohol shows, but it doesn't feel out of place, has some sweet fruit, but also has this earthiness which keeps it balanced and interesting. With such a huge wine it feels like it could have gone wrong at anytime but didn't, stayed beautiful the whole way through. Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre blend...
