Capa y densidad alta, granate y ribete violáceo, en nariz ahumado, regaliz negro, fruta negra y pimienta. En boca potente, tanicidad muy alta, secante..., final tostado pero agradable... Necesita domar tanta madera, pero hay vino con años.

Reassessing my notes on this. Previously 8.8, and I may have been harsh. It is a very drinkable, approachable Douro style. 9.0

Opulent and complex... Think a well-done Napa red made in Spain. A Spicy nose, and I get notes of tobacco, leather, licorice, chocolate, black cherry, and some ripe tomato. Rich on the palate with a lot of new oak, but everything is in balance with a silky finish that sticks.

Aug 9th, 2016A good representation of the region. Has all the characteristics -- bigger, bolder, luscious dark berry and leathery flavor. Does nothing spectacularly though. If you can pick this up for ~$30 it's a good deal
