Bodegas Juan Gil
12 Meses Silver Label Jumilla Monastrell

One of our favorite sweet wines, very easy to drink, would be a great introductory wine for new wine drinkers, bright fruity full flavor, a distinctly Spanish spicy taste

Great wine. Hard to beat for the price. Dried plums, prunes and berries. A hint of earthiness/tobacco to balance it out. On the sweeter side but not too sweet. Great for new wine drinkers and sipping on the porch on a warm spring day.

I actually enjoyed the 2012s a bit more but this is just an awesome wine especially for the money.

Not as sweet as their other 18 meses. I actually enjoyed this one very much. Great Spanish wine and a good introductory wine for newbies.

Ripe black fruit, medium body and a spicy finish. Always a winner.

My go to house wine. Always delicious and rich. Dollar for dollar probably my favorite wine.

A little overly sweet from what I’ve done to expect from this wine. Low acid, overly ripe fruit. The cork crumbled so it may have been compromised.

Sep 23rd, 2018This is showing off the depth of Manostrell. The bigger cousin to Grenache is showing off here. Deep blackberry and currants with a touch of leather. Earthy, quite a bit a tannin. I would stick this in the back and not touch it until 2020. A head fake at your next Shiraz bind tasting. SIPS-4
