Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo

Naturally our first wine on our two-week trip to Italy was Spanish.

Black cherry, plum, pencil shavings, vanilla bean, old leather, and a touch of soy sauce with balanced structure, and moderate finish.

Delicious with great mouth feel but a short finish.

Super tight, but terrifically balanced - needs half hour to open. Dark fruits and spices with oak that has turned to vanilla. Always a good value of about 35cdn

Beautiful complex bouquet. The actual flavor is kind of blend. However, much better and fruitier the next day. Decant if I get it again.

Very good Rioja Tempranillo. Full body. Velvety texture and deep red with excellent Tempranillo grape flavor. Wonderful with home smoked pork shops in Seattle.

Very smooth with rich berry flavor, soft tannins

Tart cherry, smoky cedar, and leathery flavors. Medium-bodied with vibrant, firm tannins. Give this bad boy a little air, then a it back and enjoy.
