Lanzarote Listán Negro Rosado

Chinook salmon color-orangish, pleasant, earthy, needs cacio e pepe w/ bucatini 🔒

Strawberry and wild herbs, less aromatic and funkier than expected. Still fun.

So much fun!!! Rosé of Listan Negro- juicy and sporty.

Thin bodied and tart, with notes of ripe red currant, raspberry, boysenberry, & red cherry. Leathery, grippy finish. Medium acidity. Flaccid body. Pairs beautifully with spaghetti and marinara. Lackluster as a sipper.

Orange-pink color. Light, bright citrus & fruit with hint of minerals. Paired with black cod in a seaweed broth.

Rosé of niche-y Listan Negro from the Canary Islands is the most interesting rosé I’ve had all year. The nose is like blood orange and yuzu. Acidity balances against a scratch-your-head combination of nectarine, savory herbs and bitter walnut notes. Please check out a picture of these vineyards. 😱

Dry, fruity, and creamy! Complex and tart!

Nice rosé from the Canary Islands. The bitter finish keeps it from getting too fruity. Refreshing, but kind of serious. Maybe best for an austere day at the beach. Or in Brooklyn. 😉
