2015 vintage- Very nice oak and leather taste that hits your taste buds right away. Then, linger a vanilla, cherry, and earl Grey tea profile at the back of your tongue. Very soft and smooth but complex if you let it breathe for 45 mins.

Yummy Rioja. Aged and fruity, good balance.

Fresh and smooth, lovely acidity. A bit too oaky for me. Taste much better on the second day. Great value.

Had the 2008 Gran Reserva. Light and spicy, went well with many different foods.

Actually a little bright and fruity for me. Somewhat sharper than my tastes have been running.

Update: Let it sit around a bit; flavors deepen with considerable exposure. Had it under VacuVin for a few days and the sharp fruity edges melted away. More plummy, raisin-y flavors now shine through. Bumping from a "not for me" 7.3 to a respectable 8.0.

A sound wine with modest bottle bouquet and light red color. At $17 a fair value for fans of more delicate styled wines.
